BARCS PALS

Professional Allies for Lifesaving Support

BARCS PALS: Professional Allies for Lifesaving Support is a program for professionals in and around the Baltimore area who are passionate about saving homeless pets by way of their social and professional networks. Tasked with raising funds and awareness for BARCS' life-saving work, along with hands-on volunteer time at our shelter and events, PALS members are role models in the community and a lifeline to thousands of homeless pets. As advocates committed to BARCS' mission, PALS helps homeless animals through volunteering their time, connecting their professional networks and planning annual fundraising events.

Here are ways that eager professionals can use their networks to help BARCS--and have fun while doing it!

PALS Networking Events (Kittens and Coffee, Yappy Hours, etc.)

Come meet like-minded people at our business-oriented networking events! In the past, we’ve sipped coffee while petting kittens, drank beer to support dogs and networked to bring awareness to BARCS' mission.

PALS Day at BARCS

Not much into networking at the golf course, but looking for an impactful and meaningful way to connect with your colleagues? PALS Day at BARCS is a program that helps connect local businesses with our shelter to engage in hands-on volunteer service hours. In groups of four or more, companies can schedule a few hours out of the office to help walk our shelter dogs, maintain our on-campus trails and more.

PALS Leadership Roles

Flex your leadership skills by joining the PALS leadership committee. You will help us make goals for PALS and give valuable feedback on how to best help homeless animals in need. PALS leaders meet quarterly but stay connected throughout the year.
