Low-Cost Monthly Vaccine & Microchip Clinic

In Service to Our Community

Since 2005, BARCS has been hosting monthly low-cost vaccine and microchipping clinics to support underserved pet owners in Baltimore with compassionate support and vital resources. Each year, these clinics serve more than 3,000 owned pets whose families have limited income and are not able to afford a regular relationship with a veterinarian.

Baltimore City Pet Owner Information

The clinic is for Baltimore City resident pet owners only** and is held on the first Saturday of every month (unless otherwise noted above). Vaccine prices range from $6-$10 (cash preferred) in order to allow pet owners to provide their animals with proper care. Pet owners can also have their pets microchipped at the clinics as well as purchase and renew their Baltimore City Pet License(s). Credit card, cash, paypal and venmo are accepted at payment.

**Due to the high volume of pets we serve at these clinics, you can expect to wait in line for several hours. We encourage you to look into other low-cost vaccine clinics in the area as well. Click here for info on Pet Wellness Clinic in Brooklyn Park, MD, which is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Bringing Your Pet to the Clinic

Location

3131 S Hanover St Baltimore, MD 21225*

*This is a parking lot at Medstar Hospital, but in the lot closest to Middle Branch Park. If you are turning right into the lot via Hanover (a one way street) then you'll want to immediately go towards the right into the furthest parking lot.

Dates and Time

The clinic is held the first Saturday of each month (unless it falls on a national holiday or is otherwise noted). The clinic begins at 9 a.m. and continues until we are at capacity. Due to the high volume of pets we serve at these clinics, you can expect to wait in line for several hours. Cut off time will depend on the number of animals in each car, vet staffing, etc.

Our clinic dates for 2024 are...

Pet Restraints

Pet owners must have dogs on leashes with collars and cats in carriers. Pet owners may not hold their pets in lieu of proper restraints. Should a pet owner not have these resources, they should see a BARCS representative as soon as they arrive.

Documents

**Pet owners must be residents of Baltimore City. Due to increased demand for this clinic, you may be asked to provide proof of your residence upon arrival. Pet owners can bring previous veterinary paperwork if they have it, but it is not required.

Payment and Pricing

Our clinic is able to accept payments of credit card, cash, paypal and venmo. If you are unable to pay the low-cost prices and need further assistance, please email us ahead of the clinic date at resource@barcs.org to discuss options.
