🐾 Supersized Adoption Event — Find Your New Best Friend!
📍 Baltimore Humane Society Campus – 601 Nicodemus Rd
🗓 Saturday, August 30 – 9 AM–1 PM
Get ready for a supersized dose of love! Adorable cats, dogs, and small companion animals will be gathered in one place, all hoping to meet their new families. As part of the Maryland 3000 challenge, adoption fees are waived. BARCS will be there with the BFF Waggin’ and some of our adoptable shelter pets, joining our friends from the Maryland SPCA, Baltimore Humane Society, Baltimore County Animal Services, and The Humane Society of Harford County.
This adoption event, sponsored by WBAL and Clear the Shelters, is the largest in the Baltimore area and surrounding counties.
Families are able to bring home their new furry friends the day of the event if the animal is already altered. All adoptions are first come, first served. Standard adoption procedures still apply.
Here’s what you need to know before attending the event:
🐾 Adopters need to bring a valid photo ID and proof of current address. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age.
🐾 Adopters may NOT bring their current pets to the event. Adoption counselors from each shelter will be giving all adopters very thorough instructions about acclimating new pets to homes with existing pets.
🐾 Cat carriers, leashes, and collars will be available for additional purchase at the event.
