Did you know that many employers sponsor matching gift programs that match charitable contributions made by their employees? Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and spouses. By enrolling in your company’s matching gift program, your gift could be doubled and go that much further in helping support BARCS' mission.

Here are two ways to initiate your matching gift:

1) Submit a matching gift verification request through your company’s online portal. Obtain a matching gift verification form from your human resources department.

2) Please send your completed form and a copy of your donation receipt to give@barcs.org. You can also mail it to us at: BARCS, Attn: Matching Gifts, 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, MD 21225

Update for BARCS’ participation on the 2024 Combined Federal Charitable Campaign (CFC): BARCS' application for the 2024 CFC Campaign was accepted and approved, but unfortunately there was a listing error this year. We have been working diligently on this matter. If we are unable to resolve it this year, please check back next year to select BARCS for your lifesaving charitable contributions. This does not affect BARCS' active participation in the 2023-2024 Baltimore City Charity Campaign or Maryland Charity Campaign.

Mail a check made payable to "BARCS" to 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, MD 21225. If your gift is in honor, memory or celebration of a person or pet, please include that information with your gift including the honoree's name and full mailing address.

If you would like to visit our shelter to make a donation, our lobby Is staffed from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

Show your support for BARCS by purchasing a custom BARCS license plate. They are $75, and $50 from each plate goes directly to BARCS to care for our animals.

Use the link below to purchase your BARCS License Plate. Once your online payment is processed you will receive a paper application in the mail that should be completed and dropped off or mailed to BARCS at 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, 21225. You will then receive your new plate in 6-8 weeks. Please make sure your address is correct when filling out the payment form.

WEDDING FAVORS:

Getting married? Ask your guests to donate to BARCS for your wedding favors. Suggested text: “In honor of this special day, a gift has been made on behalf of all of our wonderful supportive family and friends gathered here today and those with us in spirit to the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS).”

IN MEMORIUM:

If you would prefer not to receive flowers for a memorial service, ask guests to donate to BARCS. Suggested text to use for memorials:

“In lieu of flowers, the family of [NAME] requests your consideration in donating to Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter (BARCS), 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, MD 21225. In memory of [NAME].”
